Do I need to complete a consent & medical history form?Yes. Kindly complete the consent form on this site, listing any significant medical conditions. This allows me to determine whether we can then proceed to assessment and treatment. On the day of your initial appointment, we will also complete a paper consultation and medical history form. Failure to disclose puts certain people at risk. For instance, if you have had lymph nodes removed, infectious skin diseases, acute injury etc. In certain circumstances, massage may only be permitted with a letter from a health professional.

Do I need to prepare anything for mobile visits? If you have booked a mobile appointment, then I will bring a professional massage table, oils or waxes, clean towels, and linen. If you would prefer to use your own towels, then I am happy to do so providing they are clean. Please ensure your heating is at a low setting and that the room has adequate ventilation by opening a window if safe to do so. As you can understand, I will be working in close proximity and providing a manual therapy.

On occassion, I am willing to travel further than 20 miles, for which I need to calculate further travel costs. Usually at a rate of an additional £5 per additional 10 miles.

What should I wear?If attending a sports massage, please bring shorts and sports bra if uncomfortable only wearing underwear. This is to allow for general assessment before treatment. Prior to treatment, I will leave the room to allow you to fully undress down to your underwear, removing sports bras, necklaces and watches too. If working on glutes and into the hip, it may be easier to remove underwear in advance. Otherwise, during treatment, I will reposition underwear using a towel. You will be provided a large fleece or towel to wrap around yourself before treatment commences.
